African Citril - serinus citrinelloides
Bird ID thanks a million to Peter van Zoest (PeterZ)
Got this shot at Sarova Lodge at Lake Nakuru.
It was taking a bath in a small pool in the Lodge gardens. |

Hello Paul,
With its yellow stripe over the eye, I think it's an African Citril, serinus citrinelloides.
Very beautiful photo in clear colours and good sharpness. Nice pose and surroundings. Excellent POV, DOF and composition.
Have a nice weekend,
Peter

Hello Paul,
My first idea was a Weaver. Village weaver...
But probably it isn't..
Very difficult to identify these yellow fellows 'cause there are so many species.
Well done
