[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In preparation for an upcoming safari to East Africa,
I rummaged through some photos I took a quarter of a century ago of a herd of elephants in Amboseli National
Park. At that time I used a Minolta XD-11, one of the finest cameras on the market back then. I rephotographed that photo with my new Lumix DMC-LX3, using the wide-angle 16/9 format, and did a little photoshop work.
The old Minolta can't compare with a new super-duper digital SLR, but despite 25 years, one can still make out the elephants...ha! I hope some of the babies are still around so I can see how time has treated them.

Incredible efficiency: either of the MINOLTA, either of the LUMIX, either of the photographer simply..... : -)
It 's your element, it's terrific to give appointment to the small elefant that should have grown ... Ha !
and it's very well done, while waiting for everything that you can tell the animal behavior in photos and also your excellent text explaining everything.
Bravo & thanks !

Hi Michael, how's it going?

I like it, Micheal! I like the panoramic approach towards portraying the herd. The color-reproduction seems to be a little bit off, because of the workflow, but I think it has something. However, it does look slightly blue-ish, so, maybe you should try a de-emphasis on the B-channel, and boost the R-channel, relatively speaking.

Well done, a lot of effort has gone into this one (!) TFS.

Best regards, Dimitri.
