Taille du Guépard 1m10, poids 40 à 50 kilos mais ses pattes beaucoup plus longues lui confèrent un aspect canin. Petite tête ronde, oreilles courtes et arrondies. Crinière dorsale chez les jeunes. Dos et flanc jaune clair ou jaune gris à fauve ; corps parsemé de taches noires ; partie terminale de la queue ornée de 3 à 6 anneaux noirs; le bout de la queue blanc. Espèce menacée d'extinction. Ne se rencontre pour ainsi dire que dans les savanes herbeuses du Kenya et de la Tanzanie qui en compte le plus grand nombre est le parc national du Serengeti. C'est le mamifère le plus rapide du monde. Il peut atteindre une vitesse de 100 km/heure lorsqu'il poursuit une proie.

A scene with a lot of intensity, Farid. The mother seems very alert and vigilant, and I love the head of the little one just barely sticking out.
