| The smallest bee eater in the region. Easily identified by its combination of small size, yellow throat; black collar, buff-yellow belly and square-ended, dark tipped tail. In flight shows conspicuous russet underwings. Habitat : Forest edges in thornveld, and open clearings in coastal orest. Common in the east and north africa. |

Beautiful shot, nice focus on the subject and I love the blurred bird in the background.

There are many things I like about this shot. The POV, composition and the colours in particular have great visual impact. The diagonal of the branch gives the shot nice lines and I just love the effect of the flying OOF bird in the BG. This is a stunning piece of work! :-)
