Nice photo.
Good composition and nice colours.
I think this bird look similar to the one from Philip (netfalls) post - title "Coracias Caudatus". I hope that will help.

I've never seen such lovely colors on a bird. Very beautiful, I like the way you've left the branches and the orange colored leaves complement the bird's colors.

Excellent capture, the bird is maybe softened to much and lost detail, but as a whole this is a sure winner, well done!

this would have been excellent if it was sharp. Loss of feather detail and softness spoil what would have been a great photo.

Saskia, its a very lovely and interesting subject you captured. A colourfull composition but it could have been better if the sharpness improved. I guess the main reason for this is the distance to the subject and the amount you cropped.

i beleive this bird is a lilac breasted roller, Coracias caudatus
