The Superb Starling is a member of the starling family of birds.

This species has a large range, with an estimated global extent of occurrence of 2,100,000 km2. The global population size has not been quantified, but it is believed to be large as the species is described as 'abundant' in at least parts of its range (Feare et al. 1998). Global population trends have not been quantified, but the species is not believed to approach the thresholds for the population decline criterion of the IUCN Red List (i.e., declining more than 30% in ten years or three generations). For these reasons, the species is evaluated as Least Concern.

Distribution: Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, United Republic of
Uganda.

Hello Ferran,
It has got amazing colors... good framing and composition. The head looks a bit out of focus compared to the wings and the body. But nevertheless it's a beautiful photo. TFS

This Starling is endowed with rich colours, Ferran. Even the white-ringed eye has its place in the scheme of colours on this bird's body.
Superb capture with a remarkable depth of field.

Hi Ferran,
Vivid colours for this african starling. Nice shot of the bird on a neutral background giving all its strength to the coloration.
Best regards
Anne

Hello Ferran,
A very good photo. (I've also seen them in Tanzania. With so many colours it is always nice on a photo) The light and the composition are exactly good. Like the bird: Superb.

Muito bonito. As cores quase parecem artificiais.

Un novato como yo que va a decir.... fantástica.
Aparte del enfoque, colores, etc. me gusta la posición captada de la cabeza que da vida al ave y plasticidad a la toma. Me parece una foto vistosa, elegante y estupenda.

Saludos
