I've tried to find this on the internet but can't find out what plant it is. I never saw very many of these but they were fantastic in flower. This is in the alpine zone of Mt Kenya.

Hi Simon,
First of all a beautiful shot of a place that looks as if it's taken on an other planet.
I like the soft colors and the texture of the tall grass along the water edge.
I lived in Kenya 4 years, but sadly it was at an age where I was too young to have a camera!
(8 to 12) and I have been camping at the foot of the Mont Kenya. I remember the water was ice cold!
