Very impressive especially handheld Ralf,

I like the sharpness you've got, what shutter speed and aperture did you use? Was obviously a spur of the moment shot and yet composition is excellent. The only small niggle is that branch going just in front of him, other than that its great. The eyes are mesmerising and he is definitely looking like a bird who means business!

Ha Ralf,
stunning picture with great sharpness. I saw quite a few of them in Tanzania, but never as good as in your image. Great work!
What are your experiences with the 100-400 in combination with 1.4 converter? I have both of them as well (t.c. also canon), but results are always a bit disappointing (plus the fact that autofocus doesn't work). When I see this picture I should it again.

Med ett 500 så blir det nog till att använda ett enbenstativ,
objekivet är tungt att handhålla en längre tid.
