Hi Friends,
This is my first posting of a shot taken at my work location in Libya. My daily routine starts at half past six in the morning, at which time I am confronted with limpid dawn colours as I leave my cabin to head to the workshop.
When I managed to 'borrow' the safety officer's Fuji I woke up earlier than usual and prowled around the yard to find a good POV. This is the best I could find.
Usually, the sky is always cloudless at this time of the day but here I was lucky, with some cloud strata adding mood to the scene.
Terribly cold at this time of the day [things we do for a hobby] as I fumbled in the dark with an unfamiliar piece of equipment and ran off a few blind shots at various shutter speeds and a constant aperture setting [because I could not find the way to adjust the f number]. In lieu of a tripod I used a wooden box and released the shutter using the timer.
Personally I was surprised with the results [considering the difficulties] and posted one of the shots immediately I got home for my field break.
