[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken from a river at Mvuu Camp in Luwonde National Park. We were on a small boat and our guide showed us this kingfisher on the bank. We approached and I took 5 to 6 shots from different distances. I cropped and resized the best one, taken at about 280 mm.

Excelent composition and details.

Mike

Welcome to TN, Excellent first post.
Well captured, good details and sharpness. Nice composition, colours and BG.
Thanks for posting

Excellent capture, superb background and sharpness.
Very good composition and colours.
The shadow on the bird is a bit disturbing, Imho.

Excellent crop, keep sharing. (The photo is too small)
Well done!

Hi JCN, and very welcome to TN. Your first post sets quite a standard and I would love to see more of your work. This critter looks liek a Malachite Kingfisher I only had the chance to capture it a month ago. The composition is spot on but the shadow stripe on the back is a bit distracting. The light and exposure perfect. Very well done. What next?

Beautiful shot Jean Christophe, the bird is very well lit and the colours are great. The pose is very nice and a good composition. It's top quality, very well done. I wish it were a bit bigger - you can post up to 800 pixels here and for a shot like this it's worth it! I've done a WS to clone out the branch in the BG - I think it gives it a little more impact. Very well done.

Great first post JeanChristophe.
Very good colours and pose, well composed and great sharpness.
The only nit is the shadow on the back.
Very well done.

Realy nice shot Jean! It looks real nice with the ray of light hitting the bird! Could post the picture a bit bigger, because i guess this is not 800x600 pxl.. Such i nice picture should be enjoyed on its large possible format.. Thnx for sharing!

Very good shot with a great compo. This is an excellent first posting, hope to soo more. Welcome to TN. Riaan

Welcome JeanChristophe

Great first post to the site. Very nice subject. Good colours. Point of view (POV) is very good, so is the sharpness. The out of focucs background (OOF BG) is excellent. I agree with Pieter (sAner) a bigger image would have been nice. Great work. Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing (TFS)

Excelent colors in your capture, outstanding details and sharp.Very clean picture (no strong noise visible)
Great one. Post more pls :)

Admirable composition with excelent chromatics, wish it was at least presented in double the size, were you avoiding that beacuse subject was slightly out of focus in this presentation ?

Excellent capture! Great colors, well composed, good details and great OOF BG. Wish it was bigger though. You know you can post pictures as which are 800 pixels wide or high. TFS!

Hi Jean, It's nice to know, that you use the same camera. The kingfisher is beautiful.
