I posted the same picture on trekearth, but thought I post it again on Treknature because of the subject. I just cropped it a bit.
This shot was taken in the wild. The snake was very concentrated on her prize, so I could crawl around the stone and just take that picture from about 1 meter away.

wow, what timing and great find. nice focus, lucky you being able to get so close to a feeding snake, it's rare for me to even see a snake let alone one feeding, I saw a snake this past weekend and that was the first time in a good 7 years since my last snake sighting
