[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first landscape on TN. I took this last week in Morocco near the Algerian border.

This is one of the first dune fields of the northern Sahara and is now easily accessible.

Erg is sandy desert - which is not common. More common are reg - stoney desert and Hamada - rocky desert. All are Arabic words.

Hi James,
Your use on the natural light makes this a fantastic landscape, thanks for the great work.

I'm big desert fan, James. This one is excellent with the patterns on the sand. Usual light and shadow game one sees in early/late hours. TFS

Simple composition but well captured
Great light and texture
well done
Chris

Hi James,
A classic image of the desert, far better than even those we look at with a sense of awe in the National Geographic magazine.
The contrast between the areas in light and those in the shade is simply poetic -- to say the least in praise of its immense beauty and technical excellence.
I salute you for this great work, my friend.

A first! And a glorious one it is. Your capture of the interplay of light and dark is great. This is such a typical desert scene. I lived in Saudi Arabia for abt a dozen years, and it almost makes me wanna go back for a visit! While there
I crossed the Rub' al Khali. These eolean deposits are wandering sand spirits! Perhaps you can indicate the height of these dunes ;) Tfs, Jay

Hi James,

I am back and you have been busy travelling & posting shots while a was away. It will be a while before I catch up. I like this simple composition and rich color, and deep contrasts. Very nice.

Love the red orange array of colors in this awesome textured image of the sandy desert. :)

Hello James,
Very attractive colours and good lines!
I have never photographed a real desert, but it looks like interesting to walk around with a camera in surroundings like this...
Attractive textures, scenery is well framed!
Greetings,
Pablo -
