Worms aren't insects, and that is neither a worm nor an insect.

That is a millipede, a type of arthropod.

The better known members of the phylum arthropoda include
- the Class Hexapoda (insects)
- the Class Crustacea (crabs, shrimp, lobsters, barnacles)
- the Class Diplopoda (millipedes)
- the Class Chilopoda (centipedes)
- the Class Arachnida (spiders, mites, ticks, scorpions)
- the Class Xiphosaura (horshoe crabs)
- the Class Pycnogonida (Sea Spiders)
