What a special shot and special memory. The symmetry is wonderful... I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. I LOVE the little one sandwiched in the middle! The dusty air adds so much ambiance to the image. It just feels hot and dry. It doesn't look like a very big hole from this perspective...as if they could just suck it dry!!... gotta go! I'm suddenly thirsty!! : )

Hi James,
this is almost a Rack of Elephants...and their layout could not be any better, almost arranged by you...now that i'd like to see you attempt! Super accurate and well chosen DOF, everythings in focus at f/5.0, crisp and well exposed - great job mate, well done.

Hi James,
An incredible shot showing the Elephants at the waterhole line-up. I'm just guessing, and I'm probably wrong but is that a radio collar on the second elephant closest to the viewer? Or maybe a clump of mud the individual as tossed on their head? This shots depicts the elephants harsh dry environment and the satisfaction of a good ole waterhole. Well done.
Paul :)

Hi James,
Ever since I saw them for myself in Africa I love elephant pictures - if the elephants are free in their natural habitat. This family is wonderful. The little one is the scene stealer - his trunk just doesn't make it yet. Excellent colors and details of the wrinkly skin, the tusks, ears, and of course the trunks. Show us more!!!!!

Hello james,
What a fine photo with these elefants you have made. When you have taken the image animals were in a fine pose and seemd to enjoy theyr bath. The sharp image shows very well the texture of the sking and fine details of animals bodies. I like the littel elephant who looks so happy in the midle of the heard.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

That is quite a line-up, James.
That little guy in the middle is so cute.
What magnificent animals.
They sure look thirsty, with water dribbling down their mouths.
Love the symmetrical composition too.
