| Spitzkoppe also referrd to as Spitzkop, Groot Spitzkop or the Matterhorn of Namibia is a group of bold granite peaksbetween Usakos and Swakopmund in the Namib desert. The granite is more than seven hundred million years old and the highest outcrop rises about 1784m above sea level.These peaks stand out dramatically from their flat surrounding plains. |
