A gang of thirsty guineafolws
The Helmeted Guineafowl (Numida meleagris) is the best known of the guineafowl bird family, Numididae, and the only member of the genus Numida. It breeds in Africa, mainly south of the Sahara, and has been widely introduced into the West Indies and southern France.
The Helmeted Guineafowl is a large (53-58 cm) bird with a round body and small head. They weigh about 1.3 kg. The body plumage is gray-black spangled with white. Like other guineafowl, this species has an unfeathered head, in this case decorated with a dull yellow or reddish bony knob, and red and blue patches of skin. The wings are short and rounded, and the tail is also short.

Hello Albert,
Apparently a noisy day 'at the beach' due to all these Guineafowl birds. They all seem quite convinced there's no crocodile.
Well done

Hi Albert

A great shot showing life at a waterhole. Great atmosphere combined with good detail.

It is always fun to have more than one species in a photo. This is really nice. I did a quick workshop because on my monitor the colors look a bit undersaturated and I think a touch of sharpening would bring out the best in this image.

Hello Albert,
I love this heart-warming nature picture.
Your caption says it all. These are all thirsty creatures and that includes that deer too alongside the Guineafowls.
The image is beautiful with well controlled ambient light playing a major role in making the picture so life-like.
Thanks for sharing this great image. It has been a pleasure to go back into your limited but rich portfolio.
Best regards,
Ram
