Hi Albert

A very good composition - the branch the drongo is perched on, coming diagonally from one corner works very well. Good detail and exposure on the drongo.

James

TFS!

Thanks for your kind critique on my Hoverfly image, Albert. It is great to know you through your profile. I can appreciate your choice of residence after working 30 years in SA. I too am retired from active work.
Coming to your Drongo picture, it is a great capture. Apparently, the light conditions are challenging here but you have done a good job.
I like the BG in this picture. Gives the feel of Namibia.
Best regards.
Ram

Hello Albert,
Great capture, beautiful vivid colors, the black really shines, good sharpness and depth of field, excellent composition and good pov, well done!
Angela

Hello Albert,
You've managed the exposure very well here, considering the extreme contrasts you had to work with.
I'm not familiar with this species.
(I always thought 'Drongo' was Australian slang for an idiot :)
Great image.

hello Albert

This is a nice shot of a tricky black subject. I love the red eye. The angled branch is nice though it is usually better not to have a line enter or exit directly at the corner. A slight crop off the left would fix that.

Hi Albert,
Wonderful shot of this Drongo with very impressive sharpness and colours. Very skilful management of harsh natural lighting and exposure control. I visit your gallery for the first time and I am bowled over by your amazing pictures. It was such a pleasure and joy. No doubt this has been composed so well too. Kudos.
TFS.

Hello Albert, great shot of this fine bird, the details are very sharp and you've done a great exposure. Nicely composed too, thanks!

Mario

Albert,

You were lucky to get this close, they all normally fly away from me! A well composed pic that has a good POV, DOF, BG, Lighting and detail of the subject. Not always easy to acheive as the subject is black. You have done well here and I rate it a quality pic.
TFS,
Sheriff

bonjour Albert

Claudine

Hi Albert

Great image of this African drongo.
Composition is perfect, showing the habitat in the OOF background while providing a pale surround for the drongo to stand out sharply.

Chris
