Photo is captured during sunset. The location is
the onaob lake in Rehoboth. The lake is formed by the impressive Oanob dam with its 55 metre high wall.
What is mentioned as a state should be a province.
So the province is Hardap.

Rehoboth:
from wikipedia
History
In prehistoric times the area of the present day Rehoboth town was inhabited by Nama (Khoikhoi) groups who called it !Anis meaning smoke; referring to the cloud of condensed water vapour hanging over the hot springs in the morning.

The missionary Heinrich Kleinschmidt of the German Rhenish Missionary Society named the place Rehoboth in 1845, when a mission was established among the resident Nama (Khoikhoi). In 1864, the Nama, as a result of war, abandoned the area.

In 1870, the Basters, who had migrated out of the Cape Colony in 1868 moved into the territory and were granted permission to settle at Rehoboth by the participants of the peace conference of Okahandja on 23 September 1870. In a few years, the Basters were closely linked to the town of Rehoboth and became identified as Rehoboth Basters or Rehobothers. The population increased rapidly from an initial number of 333 in 1870, 800 in 1874 and 1500 by 1885. The growing Baster population settled in the surrounding areas, which would become known as the Rehoboth Gebiet (meaning ‘area’).

Hi Annick,

Its been a while since I last had a look at your postings, I've been back from overseas now for a couple of weeks and still trying to catch up with so many missed postings. As soon as I logged on this morning this was the first image I saw.

What an amazing landscape you've captured here, the colours are beyond stunning its an absolute feast for the eyes, that evening light has painted this with amazing results.

Beautiful work not much more I can say, all the best Cheers Rick :)

I was wondering where you have beeeeeeeeen! Now I know. This is gorgeous with the alternating horizontals the foreground, the single tree and the wonderful evening sky. It is sooooo sharp.

Hello Annick,

This is a splindid shot of this amazingly beautiful landscape. The details are excellent, very clear and crisp. Lovely rich colors and natural tones, i specially like the color of the sky and it's effects and most of all how the rusty rocks are evenly distributed in lines which gives a parallel effect and the dried grass somewhat slanting giving a sence of direction with the rocks. Interesting notes too. TFS.

Regards,
Pearl.

A pleasure-to-watch sunset scene with fine, warm colours Annick, the locale is very pretty my friend, TFS indeed!

Hallo Annick,
Groetjes,
Peter

Hi Annick

This is something very refreshing from you!
In these times with grey and cold weather almost all over Europe, this shot comes like a breath of fresh air...thanks for that!
This is a very nice presentation of a small side of the surroundings there. The composition is well chosen - with the main tree off-centered and a lovely balance between sky and ground.
I don't see you mentioned using a polarizer, so i'm going to assume you didn't, and for that the colors are simply awesome! The full saturation that you had here is amazing and you've concentrated on that to create such a strong impact. Good work!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hi Annick,
You don't do many landscapes, but when you do, they are impressive. I really like this one for the amazing colors and the soft feel to the photo. Normally I would perfer razor sharp details, but with this photo I actually like the softness of it. It suits the mood and the colors.
TFS,
Niek

Bonsoir Annick,
