[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sunset giraffe in Rehoboth. Rehoboth is a town in central Namibia. Located on the B1 road, 90 kilometres south of the Namibian capital Windhoek, Rehoboth lies on a high elevation plateau with sparse rainfall, but with several natural hot-water springs. In 2005, it had a population of 21,378.

It's taken close to the Oanob Dam, situated approximately six kilometres from Rehoboth. The dam supplies the town with fresh water.

Here I did my first Namibian game drive with a 4x4 vehicle at the resort.
Photo is captured in sunset light. 4X4 engine off, open window, door support, IS on and a cooperative giraffe indeed...

The giraffe is a
South African Giraffe (G.c. giraffa) — rounded or blotched spots, some with star-like extensions on a light tan background, running down to the hooves. Range: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique.

En ja, daar hebben we de tweede al in een erg mooie compositie. Schitterend licht op de hals en kop, ondanks een sluitertijd van 1/1000. Erg scherp en een goed oogcontact.

Hi Annick. So you been to Namibia . I do like this close up of the neck and head of the Giraffa which you have taken with fine detail . You good use of the light has given natural colours . The markings stand out so well. Its as if its saying what are you looking at. well done TFS.

Just look at those eyelashes, women would love to have those. Splendid image Annick this giraffe seems to be a lighter color then the others I have seen you post. The textures in the shin and the patterns are excellent, thank you for sharing.
