Hi Annick,
I looooove this motive - I never had the chance to be so close to sanddunes - it's a fantastic motive, the light and shadows, the structure of the wind carved into the sand, it's wonderful - and with such warm colours.
Excellent shot, thanks and greetings

Hi Annick!
Another fantastic portrait of desert, sand and dunes. Superb play of shadows and light, great saturated colours. Just beautifull.

So where were you... atop a giant sand dune or in the air? Sand dunes are a gift to a photographer with an artistic eye. What fun to look for abstract compositions. I like that meandering diagonal cutting across your image. The color and sharpness are wonderful!

Hallo Annick,
In het ochtendlicht zijn deze duinen fantastisch. Je moet wel precies het juiste moment kiezen, want het licht verandert elke minuut. Jij hebt dat dus gedaan. Prachtig in kleurschakering en scherpte. Erg mooie compositie.
Groet,
Peter

Hallo Annick,
een favoriete plek voor TNers.
Zou er ook wel eens willen maar een beetje te duur.
Mooie foto van deze hoge duinen.
Prachtige kleuren en compositie.

Hello Annick!
First of all I wish you and you family ALL THE BEST IN 2009! Only happy momnets and great time in new year :)
According to the picture - it is not a "very winter photo" ;> but I like panoramic view for this dune. Colours are amazing, so natural and vivid. For many people it is just a sand, but I really like such composition :)
Greetings from winter Lodz,

Hi Annick
Another splendid "big focal landscape" from you, my friend! It seems you are mastering them already and the artistic images that you manage to produce are simply exceptional!
I thought about trying such close-ups, too from some time but couldn't really do much with my Sigma 70-300. However, i ahve a new toy now - Sigma 150mm macro - which had the same front thread (not by chance) with my Sigma 17-70 and therefore i can fit it with a polarizer and even a ND grad if i want...so i just hope to find something interesting :)
Anyway, back to yours, i think cropping out the sky was an excellent idea! I love the tight look of only this dune, with it's beautiful "S" shape, the great natural contrast and splendid colors. For a little texture bonus you have those small piles of grass and that's all you need in a frame like this.
Bravo, TFS and Happy New Year!

A work of art Annick, the composition excellent.
Also of great merit are the colortones, light, and sweeping lines/curves/contours running through..
As I said, a work of art :)
