| Dans la réserve d'Etosha on prête surtout attention aux gros animaux et pourtant les oiseaux sont tout à fait dignes d'intérêt ! |

Beautiful bird! You might want to use some Sharpen>>Unsharpen Mask on this in photoshop.
One of my favourite bird: the LILAC BREATSED ROLLER !!
Nice shot, but it's better if you add some note to the picture. This is nature site not only a photographic site. Any note added will be usefull to the other people interesting in this bird or photo.
Even if you don't know the ID of the bird you may ask for some help. Somebody will help you! But if you give more information about the place and time you take the pic it'll easier for us to help you.

Gerard,
I see that there is a dirty mark on the left of the subject's head. It is probably dirt that needs to be blown out of the camera.
The picture is of a colourful subject in good lighting. It could be a bit sharper though.
The clear BG in the pic assists in making the subject clear and is very important for wildlife photography and birds in particular.

Sheriff

Hello Gerard,
Very nice capture of this colourful bird.Probably you used a teleconverter here and focus slided on the rear brunch. Are you happy with 5D?Before i sold my d20 i thought to buy it.But i think full frame cameras are not suitable for long-tele users.
TFS...:-)

Hello Gerard
Such a colours bird! Nice composition as he sits on the branch.
Colours and detail are great. A few notes about the bird would be helpful and interesting.
TFS Janice
PS...keep up the great work.
