| The indian Ocen islands were once home to an estimated 17 species of Giant tortoise (Geochelone gigantea)but only one remained.The tortoise were exploited for food on sailing ships and by the Seychellois. today they are protected and can be seen all over the islands. |

Very nice shot - I like the POV - the fact that we are looking at the turtle's level. The focus and exposure are perfect.
Such a sad note too - knowing how many have died (and since become extinct) because of selfish humans.
