This is one of the lionesses that was with the male I posted recently. She had been seeking his attention in competition to the second female that was also there. All three animals super condition. Very alert as my daughter came over towards me after this shot and she was really attentive. As mentioned before, when the person/child is small, wild animals in general seem to be more alert!

RAW, levels and contrast, slight changing of highlights with RawShooter, then converted, smart sharpen, crop and resize to site. |

Very nice DOF and exposure. I can even see the tiny bug hovering above her nose. The light is very golden- what time of day did you take this?

The quality of the light in this shot is really great. Beautiful soft colors and tones in this shot. Exposure is perfect! Detail is very sharp. I really like the frame filling composition and crop here. Nice shot!
