Your quest seems almost impossible, I tried to ID, Ger, but unsuccesfull. Still, the photo is what atreacted me in the game anyway, creepy but I LOVE IT. Great magnificantion ratio, pleasant croping, outstanding color, great luminosity, the sharpness is very uniform and your subject has just the greatest shagy coat!

Your macro lens is producing some good results and this one is stunning.
So much incredible detail is revealed, even the damaged wing. looks quite different to the robber flies I've seen over here, which are much more slender. Well done.

I dont know why this little critters always tend to look OE or harsh. I have plenty of shots and never published because they arent by far as good as this one. Very well done.

Félicitations pour les détails et la lumière.J'aime bien la pose de l'insecte sur ce promontoire de couleur rouille qui s'harmonise bien avec le sujet. Le Bg est propre et fait bien ressortir l'insecte.

These are scary looking insects when viewed this close up. Lovely macro Gerhard with great use of fill flash to get really sharp detail and a good BG. Nicely done :)
