redfaced mouse bird- colius indicus
common resident. identified by red facial mask. flocks which fly in compact groups, occur in thornveld, riverine forests and especially in suburbia.
got this shot just outside my house. a group of these beauties were enjoying mulberry fruits. very difficult to get a decent shot since they always keep themselves inside the thicket.

Nice picture, good light and blue BG makes the bird looks wonderful

Paul, this is a great photo. Great colours, exellent sharpness and a great POV. A very nice composition. TFS.

A beautiful capture, Paul.

Sharp and interesting details, wonderful colors and lighting, and great composition.

Fantastic job, thank you.

I know what you mean. I have a fruit tree in my neighbors backyard which was being visited by hordes of Cedar Waxwings during the early season of migration but I didnt get a single good shot because they just wouldnt let me get close. I love the saturated colors on the red mask. Thanks for sharing!!

Superbe cliché Paul, j'aime beaucoup.... Je n'ai pas eu le loisir de prendre cet oiseau dans de bonnes conditions mais cela viendra un jour....

TFS

Hi Paul,
What a lovely shot! The details in the bird are clear and I like the contrasts between the blues, greens and reds. I especially like the bird's red eye and the red berries. Well composed with natural framing. Excellent work!
Claudia.

Quite a good shot. Good sharpness considering the difficult position of the bird.

Nice capture Paul,
Good colour, detail and sharpness.
Well composed and good exposure.
Thanks for posting. Sorry for the rushed critique, one of those busy nights!!
