Will post a short desc soon. Sorry guy/gals I got no time for critique at the moment since I am running around with some work stuff, but I do peek in at times and post some shots as well.

Got this shot while driving towards Cathedral peak in Drakensberg Mountain ranges on a beautiful Saturday morning. Nearly every other telephone post had some kind of raptor species present. Unfortunately most of them fly away as soon as they detect a slowing down vehicle. Special thanks goes to Hennie and his wife Leni (who is a keen bird watcher) for spotting the bird and stopping the car.

Took using Hennie's 170-500 Sigma. hey I love this lens.

Hi, Paul - try juvenile Jackal Buzzard Buteo rufofuscus! The adults are much more boldly coloured than this, but the Steppe Buzzard is generally much paler and never tends toward black like the Jackal Buzzard. Probably more approachable because it's a youngster? Nice shot, with the bird stretching its right leg - a common habit in raptors, but rarely caught on camera!
Regards, Nigel.

Hello Paul!
Very nice capture.POV,clear details, sharpness, eyes and composition are perfect.TFS...:-)

Very clear and sharp shot. The sky in the background enables the raptor to stand out very nicely. Good Shot. Sheriff

A very sharp capture of this buzzard, Paul. Very impressive size and look. Your shot shows sharp details and well saturated colors and an excellent pose. Well done and TFS. : )
