Buffalo " Syncerus caffer " is a bovid from the family of the Bovidae. Up to 1.7m high and 3.4m long. The savannah type buffalo weigh between 500 - 900Kg, males being larger than the females.Forest type are half the size. African buffalo are not closely related to the slightly larger wild asian water buffalo. Its ancestry remains unclear.Their unpredictable nature makes them highly dangerous.
