I love birds of prey. They are a real beauty. Maybe a little sharpening could get a little more texture out of its feathers.

Mooi Kransvalk, nice mugshot. get your self Sasol Birds of SA field guide. it has all the SA birds with sort discriptions in it.
Nice eye contact. A slight pov to the right, and the beak more in profile, and you would get a much stronger image.

Great shot Willie, the eyes are great, they look like they are zoomed in on prey, and it's as if the bird will fly out the frame any second. Great shot.

Hi Willie great portrate so much detail in the eye and feathers.
As well as Callies perfect idea have a look at this site or type the name into search, google came up with 10 pages after typing in the latin name and south africa. I think between this lot and callies it should provide enough info. to write a book on the subject;0))))#
