[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Giraffes can inhabit savannas, grasslands, or open woodlands. They prefer areas enriched with acacia growth. They drink large quantities of water and, as a result, they can spend long periods of time in dry, arid areas. When searching for more food they will venture into areas with denser foliage.(wiki)

Hi Annick. A fine close up of this beautiful animal which you have captured with good detail and colour in the coat. This i have only seen in a zoo as a child one day i shall see them in the wild. TFS.
Nick..

Hi Annick,

One of the more dificult species to photograph. Does one take it as landscape or portrait? full length or half? And allways dificult to get a highlight etc. I think your colour reproduction and exposure here is good and you have shown the animal where it usually is with the head high in the trees.

Regards

Robin

Hallo Annick,

Eigenlijk is elke foto van je mooi en je hebt er veel overgehouden van je reis naar Afrika.
Dit is ook weer een mooie plaat van de Giraffe die boven de boom uitsteekt en in zijn natuurlijke omgeving.

Mooie kleuren.

Gert

Hi Annick,
Excellent capture of this Giraffe on its natural habitat. Good POV and composition, sharp details and bright natural colours.

Hi Annick.
I like that you have chosen to take just the head up in the trees like this, it gives us the feeling of peering through with you. I see that you had some foliage in your way that has nicely out of focused itself.
Beautiful exposure, colour and detail, wonderful image.

Annick,

Very well composed pic of the subject. The sharpness and detail of the subject is great. I like the clarity of the image and the POV. Often Giraffe's are not photographed enough and I am glad to see you posting one. Funny comment on the Zapiro cartoon too!

Very natural image of this Giraffe.
I like how there's OOF foliage in the FG as if we're really there watching it.
Excellent composition.
Great sharpness.
Once again a top-class image from you :-)

Cheers,
Joe
