Great capture of this Little Egret out hunting. Great focus and sharp details. Beautiful light and fine colours too. The muddy background makes it stand out very nicely!

There were many of these on the California coast...perhaps not the same particular family but egrets and they always stand out, whether seeing them in person from afar away or close up in the eye of the lens as you did so well here Annick. I as always admire your work. Simple in nature and right to the point of the matter! well done!

Very fine capture of a Cattle Egret (little Egret has yellow feet and no yellowish brownon the head).
I like the action pose as it looks for insects on the ground.

Hi Annick,

Lovely action shot of a great looking bird. Technically a great photograph, but coupled with a great pose from the bird and a very low pov make this a really, really good posting. As I said, technically perfect, but tells a story too. This is what wildlife photography is all about.

nice to see cattle egret in S Africa and by your capture. I saw lastly this species in Spaing. they are very beautiful. This is great pose and great sharp details, POV and composition. Timing great for showing its hunting moment. TFS, well done

Veel voorkomend, maar daarom nog niet altijd gemakkelijk te fotograferen, deze Koereigers. Jij hebt hem in een prachtige pose. Goede scherpte en details in de veren. Mooie donkere achtergrond.

I like the light bird against the dark of the background. The curved line of its body and head are so nice. It looks like a fairly low POV. I'm trying to imagine you with that big lens getting down that low. Nice work
