[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Today's Highlights from Answer.com I read Henry Bergh's quote "Mercy to animals means mercy to mankind."
Today in our paper the prices are published how much it costs to kill an animal in Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. Lion, rhino, elephant, impala,...they are all on the list.
Yesterday evening I watched TV and there we followed a camera team filming a rich Belgian and saw him killing an elephant (having shot already an impala and a buffalo) and taking the ivory home. The meat was delivered to the local poor people in Zimbabwe.

I shot this one. Excuse me, I photographed this one. You don't shoot. It is camera not a killing gun.
Gave it a lot of space or freedom if you want, to fly away...

Thank you for looking and have a sunny day.

Hello Annick

I was amazed to hear that some things haven't changed.I prefer your method of hunting, just capturing the essence of the animal and allowing others to do the same. There is a selfish finality about big game hunting.
This shot is a lovely capture, the colours are natural and vibrant.
Very well focused with sharp detail.
TFS

Nice color, DOF and presentation.

Looks to me like this white fronted bee eater ate a few to many bees without wearing his bib. ;)

Annick, I like the composition perfect. It shows the real sorrounding of the bird enjoying. Normally people try to put the subject in center. Well done Ganesh
