Hi Annick,

Very nice picture of the bird feeding. It is not a Grey Lourie. It is a kind of mouse bird, but there are more than one species. My first guess would be the Speckled mouse bird Colius striatus. Very well done anyway.

Hi Annick,
I give you "ursus horribilis" and you give us this beauty...! Not only does this bird have a lovely head and crest but the delicate blossom and berries complement it so well.

Hello Annick
How interesting shot. Lovely lighting and great sharpness. Ganesh

Hi Annick
This is indeed a Speckled Mousebird. It is such a difficult bird to photograph as it moves around between the branches and leaves making focussing very difficult. You have done a terrific job of capturing all the finest detail so sharply. I have been trying to get a decent image of this bird, which frequents my garden every day, for many months without success. I am very envious of this shot.

Hi Annick,
Well composed with great detail and soft light. Do you use a plugin to remove noise or is the raw result of your EOS-1D Mark III at 800 ISO?
TFS
Eric

hello Annick

excellent shot with fine POV & DOF and appropriate vertical framing
because of his tail pointed vertically, beautiful softness of the composition
with excellent sharpness and details of the foreground, TFS

Hi Annick.
You have pictured a true beauty and FG of the shot is the best too. I see you have used all capabilities to get wide DOF and show all these attractive objects perfectly. You managed to achieve an impressive result. Even blurred tail harmonizes with nice BG excellently. Well done, my favorite author.
Alexei.
