[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is what our South African friends call a Penkop.
Penkop is Afikaans. It means a young Impala with not completely developed horns. A male.

It is captured at 06:00 AM.
Must have been taken just outside Shingwedzi restcamp. Shingwedzi is the name of a river in the northern part of Kruger National Park.

Hi Annick,

Sheer beauty! Clearly, a painting done with a camera! The sharpness of the Penkop is excellent. His pose is so alert. The background is nicely blurred so that nothing detracts from the beautiful animal. The colors look rich and natural. TFS.

Weer 'n pragtige foto van die penkop. Goeie tekstuur op die pels en 'n natuurlikke agtergrond wat net genoeg uitfokus is dat dit nie pla nie maar nog steeds vir ons wys waar hy bly. Die gespitste ore dui aan sy kennis van wat om hom aangaan. Gooie komposisie.

Another beautifull photo of this penkop. Good detal on the coat and a natural background which is just out of focus enough so that it does not bother the viewer but shows us where he lives. The alert ears show his knowledge of his surroundings. Good composition.
