The net is high above the ground (in this case ca 3 m). The tiny male, a fraction of the size and weight of the female - waits at a safe distance - for prey to land in the web. As soon as the female starts feeding, the male mates with her. When she has finished, he retreats again to a safe distance. This routine is repeated seveal times over a period of a few days.
