Hello Callie,
Approximately two months before this shot, I was driving throughout Kruger often scanning the trees to spot this animal...
It didn't happen.At least not in a tree where you should expect it during daytime; it has to said I had an unforgettable close encounter with a leopard and two cubs once...
After your wonderful lion shot yesterday another great moment...

What a good scene!
I like a lot this resting moment of such an imposing animal.
It's so good to see it so placidly in its natural habitat.
Very impressive the eye contact, and so good also the composition made all just along he diagonal.

Hi Callie,

What an amazing and beautiful shot! The closest thing I saw to this was Cheetah in a tree eating his prey. This leopard is gorgeous and the position is priceless with his head on his arms and the legs stradling the tree. And the eyes!!!! Superb sharp details and marvelous colors. This makes me want to make another trip to Kruger.

He said "See, my friend Callie, I've been waiting for you to come by and snap my photo for 20 years!!"
It reminds me of my cat, so relaxed and at ease with us, just like this leopard looks relaxed and trusting of you Callie.
I love his expression and the legs dropping down on either side of the trunk

Hi Callie

Yes, the "old" TN members told us about your photos and talent and always encouraged us to have a look at your gallery and get some inspiration.

This is an exceptional shot, one that i can understand why you craved for so much. From what i've read, these cats are very vigilant and camera shy, and despite that, to be able to capture such a terrific close-up is i'm sure a huge joy.
The details here are outstanding and the colors that you managed to get are also superb! The pose of the leopard is worth a million, too, but what i personally love the most here is that piercing look in it eyes.
Simply fantastic!
