Many congratulations on your 200th post but most of all congratulations on being published in a Bird Guide...That is just brilliant as this picture is...I have and probably never will see an African Green Pigeon...I amazed at this bird!!

A hearty congratulations on #200. I always look forward to your wonderful shots and I'm not at all surprised that your photo was chosen for a bird guide. A wonderful way to celebrate by posting the same bird as your first. This Green Pigeon is picture perfect with beautiful colors and fantastic clarity. The eye is magnificent and he seems to be smiling for the camera. Beautiful pose in the olive tree. Here's to the next 200!

One might think me bazaar but there is a symbolic meaning in this to say "Universal peace amongst all colours". the Pigeon looks so much like a Dove which is Peace and then you have the intriguing blend of colours which speak for themselves...Congrats on your 200th Peter. Such nice work you always do. Sometimes I forget who is all here, but am pleasantly reminded from time to time..Thanks for sharing and again...A BIG APPLAUSE!

Congrats on the 200 mark and getting this one published. I remember 4 years ago when I was first contacted by a magazine to use "Reflected Drinker" (a wasp). It did bolster my enthusiasm/confidence as well.
Beautiful shot for it's nice even exposure and great colors/details.
The complimentary setting here works well to provide a natural framing of your subject.

Maybe the shutter speed was a bit too long; I know sometimes the light is not sufficient though...even in tropical conditions.
I haven't spotted this one in Kruger:-(.
