[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the first questions they ask when you come back from South Africa is : "... and did you see the big five?". The answer was no: no leopards. But no regrets, the variety of animals and plants this part of the world offers you is incredible. This male we saw nearby early in the morning just after sunrise: one of the best moments.

Hello Djozz,
Awesome photo...
Very good light.
Nice composition...
I did see the big 5 actually. Howerever I didn't have such a lion opportunity as in your photo.
Nature is unpredictable...always seeing something new and on the other hand missing a lot of opportunities...

super duper..the king
worth missing a leopard or two..they are singularly hard to capture as they hide in trees..
i like your profile shot and really sharp
of all the cats...i think the lion really is the king...
also i moot the cheetah is number 6 on the list
a really fascinating shot!!
cheers

Lovely shot and he blends in perfectly with his surroundings. I have a particular fondness for large cats - this is an awesome profile. Absolutely stunning!

He's a great specimen, and the highlights on the fur stand out nicely, good shot, good sighting !!
