Very nice closeup! Details are great, exposure is good (although the picture as a whole is a wee bit dark), pose of the bird is fantastic, catchlight in the eye is lovely, composition is great & POV is good. TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Paul, This is very sharp. The auto white balancing was not spot on this time. It happens on the 300D. Your background is grey rather than blue. I corrected it in a WS.

This is not a red-backed shrike female. It looks more than female stone chat, but I am not 100% sure. If I have more time I will look ot up on the Roberts CD.

You've caught an elegant bird pose here, Paul. Presented like that makes an attractive close-up with good details. You did very well. Gerhard ws gives a bit more presence to your photo.
