this is the bite of the feared black mamba, a bite from this guy left untreated will result in death in 3-6 hours depending on many factors.
we have started microchiping these guys to track their movements as very little is known about them.

Gracias por tus comentarior Lee. Tu toma es muy interesante; en especial me han sorprendido los "dientes" de esta serpiente, que más bien parecen jeringuillas, por otra parte lógico. Una toma diferente.

A most impressive photo. I cannot believe that anyone would dare have his fingers anywhere near this incredibly dangerous and aggressive snake. Of all the snakes in Africa this is the one I prefer to be at least 100 metres away from.

It's a tube with teeth!! very serious animal and a brave shot, I would want a 500mm telephoto and be in a landrover, great shot, fabulous details, keep it away from me!!!
