Outstanding portrait shot of this beautiful Starling. Lovely colours and details on its blue plumage and the yellow ring around its eye stands out so nicely. bonjour Annick,
très joli oiseau bleu, inconnu pour moi à ce jour. Les contrastes de couleurs sont saisissants et son oeil jaune fait le reste.

Hallo Annick,
Verschillende malen heb ik deze Groenstaartglansspreeuw ook gefotografeerd. Maar mijn opnames halen het niet bij deze. Schitterend! Hij is trouwens wel erg blauw t.o.v. de meer groene exemplaren die ik gezien heb. Je had blijkbaar perfect licht op de veren, want in zonlicht krijg je snel lichte en donkere contrasten. Een foto waar ik jaloers op ben.

Yet another magnificent cpature from your lens and i cannot refrain from commenting on the beauty of the eye you have captured in this shot too.
The plumage colours can be admired only if one looks at that eye and get a feel of the contrasts provided by that "little round orangy-black button" against the glossy blue.
Good sharpness and wonderful BG.

Can't get more beautiful than this. A stunning looking bird captured perfectly. The blues are magnificent and I love the yellow eye. Razor sharp details of the face, wings and plummage. Even the pose and background are wonderful.
