| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A bright, golden yellow bird which has a black head and throat, black wings patched with white and a bright coralred bill. The female is simular to the male; imm. differs by having a brownish head streaked with yellow and a dull red bill. Although very brightly coloured, it remains well concealedin the leafy caopy and is difficult to detect unless its fluty song or the harsher 'kweeer'note is heard. Found in a mixed range of woodlands, bushveld and exotic plantations. |
