| Elephants are the biggest of the big five and also the largest land mammal. Like humans the mammary glands are situated on the chest and not like antelope between the hind legs. Elephants have a very inefficient gastronomic system and have to eat enormous amounts of vegetation to survive. They spend about 18hrs per day feeding, and also drink lots of water.Hope you like the close up of this one. He is in his early to mid twenties so considered a mature bull. |
