hi Annick
An uncommon position for the wildebeest but very good, I like the composition you got with this position not centering the object on the image.
good sharpness with the long lens (I think you used a tripod) and nice colors.

I tried doing it but I hurt my neck ;-) Beautiful picture, Annick, I love those pictures of yours looking like an almost ancient painting. The sepia tones against the blurred background, the beauty of the animal and this "intimate" moment. It is all very beautiful and well done, thank you!

Hi Annick
My grandfather once asked me, "How do you shoot a buck through its foot and in the head?" The simple answer is you wait for it to scratch its ear. Not while it's tapping its index finger against the head (chuckle).
This shot clearly show the after winter dry grassland in the Satara area although there already was some rain, as can be clearly seen by the fresh new green blades of grass just starting to appear. This is a different pose than the usual and a rather interesting view of the gnu. You did well to capture good details and contrasts as this animal's dark coat normally tend to be problematic as it tricks the camera sensors. But that is obviously no handicap for an experienced photographer such as you.
Good work and TFS.

Hello Annick, you have shot this with superb action. Is it doing some exercise or expressing some gratitude. Well done Ganesh

Hello Annick,
I would imagine this is quite a dangerous situation for a Wildebeest to be alone in the bush. Excellent image, well composed and great depth of field, about perfect I think. I like the dusty background, it really adds some atmosphere to this image.

Adrian

Hello Annick, what an unusual pose you've caught - and quite funny scratching it's head like a chicken! The exposure is perfect, and creates a nice contrast between the animal and the bg with a fine pastel colour effect. Very good focus and detail. High quality as always from you. sorry p.t. Best rgds, Necip
