[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Tree squirrel perched on a tree

They can be very active on the ground as well.
It's quite common in Kruger. It's the only squirrel specie I spotted. Probably there's no other one. It is the only one in the Kruger map as well.
Other small animals more or less similar in size and anatomy in Kruger are for example the 5 mongoose species and the Striped polecat.
The tree's ID is unknown?

Hello Annick,
A smaller mammal this time!:))
Nice action shot of a Tree Squirrel gripping the tree trunk caught in a fine pose. Nice contrast with the BG too. Razor sharp with just the tail showing some movement.
TFS this delight,
Ivan

Hello annick,

Smitha.

Original y efectivo encuadre Annick. Buen enfoque al motivo principal y una ténue luz muy apropiada. Interesantes conrastes de color.
Un saludo y gracias por tus amables comentarios: Josep Ignasi Tejedor

Hello Annick,
What a cute squirrel, nice colors and sharpness, great
blurred bg.. Well done

Everton

I'll bet the photographer and camera (*very nice capture) are the least of worries for this small creature which must live by it's instinct and wits. too many other "things" over there looking for it:-) good colourings, great glass and deep saturation's...

Hi Annick!

Funny pose of this animal - now I know why these animals are so often in cartoon movies :-) Nice moment, good quality.

Hi Annick.
Despite the poor light condition you managed to take a nice picture of a very cute small creature. I like this absolutely natural alive scene, impressive surroundings, superb details of the animal and perfect use of all features of your huge equipment. TFS and best wishes.
Alexei.
