[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This lion was sitting under a tree right next to the road and we stopped within 3 metres of him. Flash was used to overcome the dark shade of the tree and this gave the highlights in the eyes. He was not impressed by our presence or the flashes going off and moved away before we could take many photos.

Hi Robin,
The close capture is amazing. But the flash is just too bright. The eyes have lost the soul and became flat. You might want to darken them a little in your post process so that they get a bit more detail and come alive again.

Hi Robin,
lovely and near portrait of this guy. Very clear woth the gesture seen. The licking action is so real and the face is very sharp.
well captured and the moment is right.
