[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Cape Weaver male is entering the nesting/breeding season and was performing like tomorrow will be the end of the world to get the girls to notice him! He would fly closer to them, put up an impressive display and then fly a short distance in the direction of his nest just to put up another display. This lures the females closer to his nest so that they will hopefully get close enough to inspect it and stay.

I have posted the vital statistics on an earlier posting. The photo was taken in the Somerset West botanical gardens around mid-day.

Very nice one, Japie. Great detail in the bright yellow plumage, and I love that eye. The way he is holding on to the branch is fascinating. Great shot.
