your picture shows this colorful grasshopper couple very well.
Great depth of field, exact focus and pretty good sharpness.
Details are nicely reproduced and clear.
The species is possibly Zonocerus elegans or a close relative of this species.

Hi Matthew, incredible color details on these hoppers and well seen at this low pov and by your fine camera work. Tail ends are a bit OF, they must have been moving a bit, haha. Nicely composed and exposed. Tfs Richard

What amazing colors and patterns on these two mating grasshoppers.
Great moment caught.
Excellent exposure and focus.
The details on the face are fantastic, and I really like those tiny wings that seem so disproportionate, and those bulging red eyes.

Hello Matthew,

Very nice sharp picture of these colourful grasshoppers. Splendid colours. The background is not soft enough, I think. I tried a WS to improve it and I tried not to affect the sharpness of the grasshoppers.
