This attractive bird is one of the most commonly seen of the Rollers in the Kruger National Park. An inhabitant of dry open brush and wooded areas, it perches prominently on bushes, trees ans along the road.
It preys on lizards and invertebrates but is also known to take small birds. Lilac-breasted Rollers are also quite "tame", allowing you to get very close in for a good shot. |

Hi Quinten,
A nice and colorfull capture,well seen and shot with a nice POV and BG,in the right uppercorner I see a dustspot which you could have removed with PP,well done and TFS
