Tortoise shell symmetry
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This little tortoise is approximately the size of a golf ball. I used a small aperture as I wanted quite a deep depth of field because the shell is round on top.
One hardly finds any live tortoises in the wild anymore. When I was young one would often see them in the veld and everybody had a tame one. These days they are rare due to the reduction of their habitat, the increase of roads where they get run over. The usual story of mankind encroaching. |

Hello Irmgard,
I love this! Well spotted! It is really sharp and detailed. Lovely tones of colour.
Kind regards, Bev :-)
Thank you for your warm comments about my port folio. :-)
Symmetry and patterns are what makes this great! I love this piece because it is different....
What a wonderful perspective!
Very interesting.
Dear Irmgard!
From time to time someone from TN members is lucky and present a very artistic picture taken thanks to the nature artism :) And this is one of such pictures! Of course bravo for the idea! Photo is simple but very good! I like a lot this natural composition :) Even id the DOF would be a little better to keep all picture in the focus, it is still a very artistic and unusual presentation.
TFS and have a lot of such nice ideas! ;>
