One of my fav animals, the zebra. They are such charactors if you stay long enough to watch them.

Taken late afternoon as we were about to exit the park for the day - yes, I know, 8 minutes to reach the gate, dont tell them I was late.....

I cropped specifically just to 5x7 and left the zebras in the background, only about a 10% crop maximum anyway. The zebra was probably about 80 meters away, call me a liar for a few metres!

Shot in RAW, worked in Lightroom 1 and almost nothing done to it apart from slight crop and then convert to jpg for site. This time I got the exif to stay!!

I am not good with the post process work, so prefer to leave it as natural as possible. Hope you like it. Thanks. Tim

Bonjour,
Voilà un zèbre qui doit ignorer le bel effet graphique qu'il fait.
Bonne journée.

Tim hi...
Moody image...
Well composed with blurred background as it has left the group for a quick photoshoot knowing the gates are closing at...
At what hour do the gates close in Kruger actually?

:)))
Funny expression and title to go along.
Sharpness is great and I like the warmness in the colour, which reflects very good the moody vision of an african savanna.
Regards,
Christian

Natural light indeed. I fully agree that posttreatment is less important than good exposure and compo. I almost never change the colour settings and this yellowish light is great

Hello Tim,
pose is excellent, great work. Very good sharpness, details, colours and composition. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tim,

I love it! Never saw a zebra with an expression like that! Wonderful details. Love the red tongue and the natural bg.

Hello Tim,
The late light and the POV from dead center front give this zebra a surreal quality. I love the symmetry of his body presented here. An unusual and very effective angle.

Hi Tim,

I love this picture. Technically the light was very good. Excellent focus, DOF and BG. Well done.
